Keegan Knott, ANIP '18

I got to experience party briefings, political strategising and diplomatic meetings with different embassies, providing for a worthwhile experience.

ANIP provided me with the opportunity to work first hand with a senior member of the Australian Parliament and the first Aboriginal woman to be elected to the House of Representatives, Linda Burney MP. My report focused on tackling the exploitation of the Centrepay program within the Department of Human Services.

This crises was disproportionately targeting the Aboriginal community, highlighting the great opportunity ANIP provides to Indigenous students to directly challenge these issues and impact their community in a positive way.
