"ANIP opened my eyes to the workings of government right here in Canberra. I researched diversity and inclusion in the ACT Emergency Services, something I had little prior knowledge about. I couldn’t have imagined it would lead me to chatting with heads of services and seasoned firefighters, visiting facilities and getting an up-close look at how public servants and the legislature really are trying to make the ACT better. One piece of advice for future interns is that ANIP is what you make of it. Make the most of this privilege and observe closely with your eyes and ears."
