Bernadette O’Brien, ANIP ‘13

ANIP has been a great stepping stone into the workforce that has enabled me to acquire a better understanding of which government departments will best suit my character and career aspirations.

'Due to the nature of the work and for security reasons, I was predominately tasked with completing my research proposal to a high quality so that it could be published. The 12 weeks I spent on this placement gave me the opportunity to develop a rapport with my work colleagues that cannot be established through ad-hoc networking events.

ANIP has been a great stepping stone into the workforce that has enabled me to acquire a better understanding of which government departments will best suit my character and career aspirations.

Writing an 8,000-word report within 12 weeks is challenging and time flies! My advice is to decide on a topic early and have a solid structure in mind from the onset.'
