Eleanor Robson, ANIP ‘2013

Representatives from other NGOs, community members and government officials often come into the office, so I had a great opportunity to meet other people in the field.

'From what my friends told me, it sounded like a great way to get some practical experience in a potential career path. I wanted to try a different experience rather than just doing all course work like every other semester. Through my internship, I worked on my research project about how effective the National Food Plan is in combatting food security issues.

I really love the workplace culture at the Conservation Council and enjoyed having a 9-5 schedule. Representatives from other NGOs, community members and government officials often come into the office, so I had a great opportunity to meet other people in the field. The project was challenging yet rewarding – you have to be disciplined to meet your goals.'
